Geoffrey P. Mavar | Principal
Geoffrey is a Principal and co-founder of Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC. He began his investment career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he served for 11 years and was a Vice President. Geoffrey gained experience in investment management, portfolio construction, risk management, institutional trading, hedging, program trading, and mentoring younger associates. He has advised institutions and families with substantial wealth throughout his career and began managing portfolios including MLP assets on a discretionary basis during his tenure at Goldman Sachs. Geoffrey graduated with a B.A. from The University of Mississippi in 1984. He received an MBA in Finance from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in 1990, and served on the Alumni Board of Directors of the Business School from 1999 to April 2007.
Matthew G. Mead | Principal
Matt is a Principal and co-founder of Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC. He began his investment career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he served for 9 years and was a Vice President. Matt has advised institutions and families with substantial wealth throughout his career and began managing portfolios including MLP assets on a discretionary basis during his tenure at Goldman Sachs. He has diverse investment experience across public and private equity, fixed income, and derivative markets. Matt received his B.S. from Birmingham-Southern College in 1990, double majoring in Economics and Finance. He received an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University in 1992. Matt has been a member of the Board of Directors of Oakworth Capital Bank since 2008.
David N. Fleischer, CFA | Principal
David is a Principal at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC. He most recently was a Managing Director at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, LP, serving as a portfolio manager for their alternative investment fund and closed-end fund assets, which exceeded $1 billion. David was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co., serving on its Investment Policy and Stock Selection Committees for over 10 years and was the business unit leader for the firm’s energy research. He was responsible for investment research of MLPs, natural gas companies and gas utilities, and was an Institutional Investor ranked analyst for 16 consecutive years in natural gas. David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics in 1970. He received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. David served four years active duty in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Robert M.T. Walker | Principal
Robert is a Principal at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC where he leads the firm’s research efforts. He started his investment management career in 1999 with Haas, Incorporated, a family office in Memphis, and he was an analyst with Trinity Capital, an equity hedge fund, before joining Chickasaw. Robert received his B.A. from Rhodes College in 1999, with a History major and a Business Administration minor. He received an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University in 2005 where he was the Chairman of the Max Adler Student Investment Fund. Robert currently serves on the Owen Alumni Board of Directors and as the Class of 2005 representative on the Owen School’s Alumni Council.
James L. Johnstone | Managing Director
Jim is a Managing Director at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC focused on Institutional Sales. He most recently was Vice President of Institutional Marketing for Janus Capital Group. Jim’s expertise includes all facets of relationships with qualified retirement plans, foundations, endowments, high net worth individuals, and Taft-Hartley plans. He has over sixteen years of senior level sales experience within the institutional asset management industry including tenures at PIMCO and Fidelity Investments. Jim graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Florida State University in 1987.
Debra A. McAdoo | Principal
Debra is a Principal and is the Chief Compliance Officer and Controller at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC. She serves as the firm’s liaison with the various regulatory agencies and keeps the firm’s policies and procedures current with industry standards. She began her investment management career with Goldman Sachs & Co. in Memphis, where she served for 14 years. She served initially as a Client Analyst and was promoted to Regional Compliance Manager and Vice President where she served for 8 years.
Vickie L. Gardino | Vice President
Vickie is a Client Analyst at Chickasaw Capital Management. She is responsible for client support and trading at Chickasaw Capital. Vickie served as a Client Analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. for 7 years in Memphis and was the lead support person for a six-person investment advisory team. She has over 25 years of experience in the securities business.
Alicia G. Ross | Client Analyst
Alicia is a Client Analyst at Chickasaw Capital Management. She is responsible for the adviser's operational support for the MainGate MLP Fund at Chickasaw Capital. She served as a Senior Performance Analyst at a leading investment consultant in Memphis, responsible for performance reporting for institutional and high net worth clients for 5 years. Prior to her tenure in the investment business, Alicia was a Computer Specialist and SAP Business Analyst with the U.S. Navy for 5 years, serving as the functional team leader for the MWR department’s global rollout of various SAP modules. She graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Finance in 1993.
Greare Sutherland | Director of Operations
Greare is Director of Operations at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC. He has over 16 years of experience in the financial services operations industry, specifically leading operations teams with respect to the separately managed accounts business at broker dealer and investment management firms. Greare was most recently with Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc., where he also began his career, serving as First Vice President and Director of Operations for the Investments Department. Prior to Morgan Keegan, Greare worked for Bank of America, Inc., INVESCO, Inc. and J.C. Bradford & Company. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Finance and Investment Management and subsequently received his MBA in Finance from the University of Memphis.
Todd A. D’Angelo | Regional Sales Director
Todd is a Regional Sales Director at Chickasaw Capital Management, LLC focused on sales to Financial Intermediaries. With more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge to his business partners, along with actionable sales ideas and time-tested strategies gathered by studying top-performing advisors. Prior to joining SunAmerica in 2010, Todd worked at Pacific Life. Todd graduated with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Illinois in 1989.
